I was installing the APR Carbonio intake in my B7 S4 last weekend (yeah, yeah, heat soak, blah blah...;-). The thing is a bee-atch to fit. I tried as I might to get all the pieces to fit for almost 5 hours, and I finally gave up. Well, I guess the forums are correct about the junk fitment for this intake. The last chance for me was for EuroTech to give it the old college try on the installation. Last Thursday, I went to them. Jose at first thought it wasn't the correct intake for the car, but he asked his mechanic to start the assembly from scratch. Within less than 20 minutes, it was fitted perfectly and working. What up?! Jose also mentioned that he'll clean the aftermarket intake once I take my car for its 75,000 mile service. Nice! Thanks again, EuroTech! This review has been forthcoming. Been lazy ;-P Anyway, I've went to this mechanic a few times now. First was an aftermarket turbo gauge for my B8 A4 install which went without a hitch. It took them about an hour, but they were willing to show me how they installed it and how the wires for it were routed. My B8 A4 was due its 15K service and since it was still under warranty, I had it done by the dealership. Unfortunately, the dealer didn't inform me that the tire rotation was not part of the service. (FYI, I used to have a Mazda 3 and a Nissan Xterra, and the regular maintenance services usually came with tire rotation so I just assumed that a luxury brand service will come with it too. Nope!) I went to EuroTech, and they did it for free! Thank you very much! I also have a B7 S4 which has an aftermarket cat-back installed by a local tuner shop in the South Bay. I've asked the tuner twice to resit or reposition the cat-back's tips so that they don't touch the valence. (FYI, the valence is made of plastic and I can just imagine hot muffler tips may eventually melt them.) The tuner said that they can't because there's no more slack in the crossbar and muffler hangers holding the exhaust. The exhaust may break if the move was done. I went to EuroTech one late afternoon, and lo and behold, they miraculously found some slack to move the tips away from the valence without harming the exhaust. BTW, the exhaust tips were kinda hanging low and further out than the stock exhaust was before and after EuroTech made the adjustments. I thought to myself that this was probably how it was made to look by the manufacturer so I let it go. Months past, and I had money to get some piggie downpipes and to cover installation. I had the piggies delivered directly to EuroTech after I called Ardy if this was ok. Once I got a call from Ardy that my piggies arrived, I went to EuroTech early in the next morning to drop off my car for the installation. I briefly talked to Jose (I think he is the owner and head mechanic of this garage), and he said he has done this type of installs before so there won't be any problem. Ok, remember how my exhaust tips were hanging low and out? For some miracle again when EuroTech was installing my piggies, they had the time to properly position the exhaust in its optimum place. This meant the tips are now where the stock exhaust tips were located and hanged before. Not only does my exhaust sound better with the piggies, but it looks great now from its current position! Almost forgot...45K miles had past for my S4, and I had the 45K service done by EuroTech. During the service, the mechanic saw an oil gasket leak. I ok'd the fix, and I was done in no time. Definitely fast service and fair labor price (labor price compared to dealerships and local tuner shops in the area). BTW, their waiting room is clean and tidy. It has a nice big sofa where you can watch some TV (OTA channels only, and I've got to ask Ardy the next time if they offer wireless Internet access ;-). Their garage bays are also clean and organized. You always feel coming in that you are coming into a top notch mechanic's garage instead of a junk yard. Jose, Ardy, and the gang really took care of me. I'll be coming back here again especially now I know for sure that even if this is a mechanic's garage first and foremost, but they can do aftermarket tuner performance parts installations too (and proper like :-).
