Summary: If you own an Audi and live in the Westside or somewhere nearby, this is where you need to take your car to get serviced/repaired. Period. The first thing you notice about Eurotech is the friendly greetings from the owner Jose and Ardy (I think that was his name). Having car problems is nerve racking, and friendly service goes miles to ease your stress. I think a lot of mechanics over look that aspect of running their business. The garage seems to be tidy and well kept. I noticed they also stock a lot of parts in house which probably speeds up the repair service process. Jose took time to diagnosis the problem, test drive my car, and reset the error codes and check the check engine light on my car without charging me. He knows his Audis and explained exactly what the problem was and how the problem affects my car in great technical detail. Some mechanics give you vague information, not the guys at Eurotech. To be fair, I didn't get any repairs done yet but that's because Jose actually talked me out of getting my car repaired and told me it wasn't worth fixing my problem because it was only bandaging a bigger problem (the whole tranmission! ). When's the last time you had a mechanic talk you out spending money at his shop?!??! So as far as the actual quality of repair, I cannot comment yet. But when my car really does need service and I take it to Eurotech, I will write a follow-up review. But so far, from what I've seen, I'm very impressed with the way Eurotech handles business.

Probably the best reason to buy an Audi. Jose is a mechanical savant and the whole staff is very friendly and helpful. You'll never second guess your mechanic again.

I know this isn't a food or drink related, but credit where credit's due! My mate has an Audi S4 (souped up with the noisest exhaust and the engine chipped, but I forgive him!) He swears by Arty here at Eurotech so after Downtown Audi quoted me $100 to change some lightbulbs I thought I'd at least try to save on labor costs by coming here to an independent. On my first attempt to get some info the guy hung up on me. But, the week before Christmas I call again and Arty answers and says "just come in - no appointment." I don't ask about the price (it's got to be cheaper than $100). Four lightbulbs and 20 mins later I get my Audi TT and a bill for $15. Yes...four lightbulbs @ $3.50 and no labor. The dealer also quoted me $200 for rear brake pads. I go to Global Tires for my tires and they gave me brake pads for $140 and then I added some insurance for a tire that they replaced a while ago for me (in case I get a puncture in my $175 Pirellis). Total $180. The moral of the story is, if your car is out of warranty only use the dealer for the main service (for the logbook stamp) and everything else go to a good independent like Eurotech.

Jose is the kind of rare mechanic who will tell you the truth, even if he's not going to profit from it. Extremely quick service, friendly people. Avoid the stealerships. It will save you time and money.

The BEST independent AUDI/VW shop in the Los Angeles area bar none. As a Master Audi Tech, Jose is very knowledgable with all late model Audi's, both stock and modified. He is a very HONEST and fair priced mechanic, especially for a european car make. Does honor extended warranties. I highly recommend him to all my friends, particularly women owners who tend to get taken advantaged of by most mechanics. Definitely worth the drive to Culver City! He doesn't even charge you to read your DTC if your check engine light comes on.

Jose, just in case you're looking, is THE Go To Guy..for all your Audi needs. He is the antithesis of the dealer -- IOW, you get a kiss if you have to bend over! And, if you own an Audi driver, you may have to bend over more than you bargained for. Jose knows what he's talking about and I really couldn't recommend him more. Go to him with confidence that you'll be in good knowledgeable hands. Happy Audi-ing....

If you have a nice Audi, chances are you already know of this place. Jose is the only mechanic that I want doing work on my car. Period. Check audiworld.com if you want reviews by some serious car enthusiasts - they all love him too. Trained as a Master Audi Technician, been to Ingolstadt to train more there, Jose knows his stuff. He's also one of the nicest and most honest guys I've ever met. Only bad news, I moved to South OC so it's quite a drive for me...but I still do it. =) UPDATE: Since I have moved back to the LA area, it's much easier for me to get to Euro Tech. Jose is as knowledgeable as ever and really strives for the best for his customers. I never had a problem with Artie (I liked him), but for those that did - he's no longer there. Don't hesitate to bring your European car to Jose!

Great Place! I called Jose based on the wonderful reviews everywhere. (I do not live in CA) I was trying to purchase an Audi A8 from a dealer from this area and needed an expert tech to look at it before I made a decision. Jose was able to do a very thorough inspection with a very short notice, and he promptly faxed me the complete report BEFORE he even had my credit card information! Thanks to his great detailed report, I was able to avoid a costly mistake, the car had been in an accident before and was not mentioned by the sales person! Needless to say, I immediately called him to thank him and pay him. :-) Please keep in mind that I never even met Jose and everything happened over the phone. GREAT PLACE, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR THEIR HONESTY AND THOROUGH WORK. Arno

Absolutely the best VW mechanic! However, he is so busy, the only new customers he will take are Audi drivers. He is totally trustworthy and has fair prices. Ignore anything less than a five-star review for this place. I've brought in my car ('02 Passat) for oil changes, electrical problems, and major service, and I always leave a totally satisfied customer. It's worth the drive for me from Torrance, as I've tried VW service shops closer to home and work, and none of them compare. Jose, the mechanic, cares about his customer's cars!

Pretty much the best mechanic, EVER! Jose at Euro Tech was recommended to me by a friend who also drives a VW. I was having some problems with my old Cabrio. Two other mechanics took looks and couldn't really pinpoint what was wrong. Jose took a look, was pretty sure he knew what needed to be replaced, and did the work. He made me take the car...WITHOUT PAYING! He wanted me to take it home, drive it for a while, and make sure the repairs worked. He didn't want me paying for service that didn't fix the problem. Awesome! I stopped back in about 2 weeks later, after making sure everything was fine, and paid. Jose was awesome about the whole thing. Now that I have a new VW, I don't need much service, but if anything comes up, Jose will be the first that I see!
